Reformer & Mat Pilates in West Omaha

Six reformers, small classes, and coaching built on functional anatomy and pelvic-floor awareness. Start at Level 1 and progress from there.

Where

Pilates Reformer Room · Yoga Room (mat)

Pilates builds core strength, control and alignment at a measured pace. On the reformer, springs under a sliding carriage give you resistance and support in the same movement, so every exercise can be dialed up or down.

Our reformer room holds six machines, which keeps classes small enough for hands-on cueing. Mat Pilates runs in the Yoga & Functional Movement room and uses props like the magic circle, small ball and bands.

The classes

Pilates Reformer Level 1

Foundational · Grounded · Beginner-friendly

Your introduction to the reformer. Level 1 teaches neutral spine, breath coordination, core engagement and moving from center. At least one foot stays on the floor, so there's no standing balance work on the carriage.

Level: For beginners or anyone returning after a break. No reformer experience needed.

What to expect

  • How the reformer works and how to set the springs
  • Foundational work for spine, hips and shoulders
  • Always grounded, with no standing on the carriage
  • Individual attention and alignment cues

Pilates Reformer Level 2

Progressive · Standing carriage work · Stability

Same vocabulary as Level 1, with more complex sequencing and standing work on the carriage. Expect the reformer to become a moving, unstable surface that challenges balance, proprioception and your deep stabilizers.

Level: Prerequisite: Reformer Level 1 or instructor assessment.

What to expect

  • Standing carriage work is part of this level
  • More challenge for balance and stability
  • More complex transitions and sequencing
  • Refined technique with progressive loading

Pilates Reformer Cardio Sculpt

Dynamic · Jump board · Heart rate up

The jump board and more dynamic sequencing add a cardio layer to reformer Pilates while keeping it joint-friendly and low-impact. You'll move more, sweat a little and feel it in your core and legs.

Level: Some reformer familiarity helps. Modifications offered for all levels.

What to expect

  • Jump board cardio at low impact
  • More dynamic, flowing sequences
  • Heart rate up, movement still controlled
  • Core and lower-body emphasis

Mat Pilates

Classical foundation · Functional · Props

We start with Joseph Pilates' classical mat method, then open it up into functional, multi-planar movement: rotation, hinging, standing transitions, plus the magic circle, small ball and bands. Breath and pelvic floor awareness run through every exercise.

Level: All fitness levels. No Pilates experience needed. Includes time on hands and knees. Modifications are always available. Talk to your teacher before class about any wrist, knee or joint concerns.

What to expect

  • Classical mat repertoire as the base
  • Functional, multi-planar movement with props
  • Deep core and pelvic floor work
  • Breath coordination throughout
